The LDB M120 alignment scope is used to determine the deviation in azimuth alignment between the axis of the tube of a mortar (81 LLR F1, 120 RT, or smoothbore) and the goniometers that can be equipped with these equipments (GP2M 120, GP2M F1). It can also be used for aligning the dovetail supporting the aiming goniometer.

Features
This angled scope is mounted directly into the mouth of the mortar and derives its geometric references from the bore of the tube and the tube’s entrance plane. The ground reference is achieved by aligning the bubbles of various levels with their marks. The mirrors of the levels and the position of the sighting scope enable the ground operator to perform this calibration. This ergonomic solution ensures operator safety by eliminating the risk of falls.
